Key Role:
Anglin Consulting Group has an opening for a Financial Auditor to provide financial analysis for the client and leverage knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Leverage ability to review financial statements, balance sheets and demonstrate an understanding of material weakness or deficiencies in fiscal and accounting procedures in accordance with accounting principles and other pertinent regulations. Conduct multiple organizations' audit report analyses in the areas of audit findings, financial statements, and internal controls, review corrective action plans, and provide recommendations for audit clearances in accordance with federal financial regulations. Conduct a review of grants and expense reports, provide support to client staff when an adverse action or disallowance is taken against an organization. Research relative regulations and create ad hoc analyses to make recommendations. Review financial records for accuracy and allowability of costs in accordance with financial regulations and cost principles, provide overall budget analysis and monitoring of funding levels and fiscal support, and provide fiscal support, including review and analysis of program financial reports, grants closeout activities, and restricted drawdown transactions, such as appropriate detailed tracking of financial report and other fiscal support activities as directed by the client.


Required Qualifications:  
  • Five (5) years of operational experience in conducting audits within a State or Local government that receives Federal funding
  • Experience with working with audits in a non-profit, government, or commercial environment.
  • Experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS).
  • Experience with reviewing financial statements, balance sheets, and budgets for compliance against cost principles
  • Experience with reviewing corrective plans and making recommendations if corrective action plans are clearable, including audit resolution.
  • MA or MS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field 
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with conducting in-depth research on federal financial regulations and Cost Principles
  • Certified Public Accountant
