Key Role:
Anglin Consulting Group has an opening for a RF Engineer to deal  with LMR radio system, software, and programs. Including designing/testing radio code plugs, validating radio and system performance, and evaluating new communication devices.  Perform technical work in the field of Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and wireless communications systems engineering, design and implementation. Responsible for program review, compliance with licensing regulations, requirements gathering, design review, change management, and final acceptance of systems. Duties can include RoIP system engineering and radio code plug design/programming. Conducts short and long-term planning to meet communications requirements. Performs hardware/software analysis to provide comparative data of performance characteristics and suitability within the existing systems environment.  This position is located in Washington, DC.


Basic Qualifications: BS in EE or Communication systems minimum. Thorough understanding of LMR implementation, testing, optimization, radio code plug development/design/test. Able to work in the ever changing fast pace environment of a 24/7 organization.

Radio network coverage and interference analysis experience

Experience with RF Engineering tools including Wizard, drive test tools

Experience in developing fleetmaps, codeplugs & program radios-public safety

Managing Motorla User Configuration Manager w/assorted duties
5 Years
Able to create monthly system watch reports, data entry and analysis, etc.

Experience in troubleshooting WS systesm - cell, microwave, LMR, UHF, etc.
5 Years
Experience w/public safety infrastructure - 800MHz,UHF Trunked&Non, etc.
5 Years
Knowledge of public safety regarding communications and interoperability
5 Years
Knowledge of PSAP Operations
5 Years
Familiarity w/ Project 25, LTE&WIMax-Standard practices, etc.

This is a contract position with a minimum duration of one (1) year with option to extend based on performance and client needs.
